How appointments are scheduled
Our office aims to schedule your child’s appointment at the time that works best for you and when time is available. New patients are seen in the morning as children tend to be fresh and Dr. Kindell is able to spend more time with them, getting to know their personality and evaluating their dental needs.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for your child. We require one business day notice in the event that you will not be able to keep your appointment. This allows us to make that time available to other patients. We realize things happen and want to work with you to get your child rescheduled as soon as possible.
As a courtesy to patients in need of an appointment, a $35 fee will be charged the second time a family does not show up on time, or cancels with less than one business day notice. This fee must be paid before a new appointment is scheduled.
During your child’s visit
We welcome all parents to join us along with their child during nearly all dental procedures! If your child is new to our office we ask that you join us during his/her first exam not only for their comfort but yours as well. If your child is over the age of 10 and feels comfortable enough to hang out with our staff during their exam and cleaning we encourage their independence. Parents are welcome to enjoy a movie in our front office or sit in our play room in the back. Parents will be asked to join their child as Dr. Kindell examines their child. At this time any concerns you or the doctor have can be discussed.
Our goal is to provide a very positive dental experience for every child. We strive to be an office your child enjoys coming to visit! When talking to your child about their dental appointment try using a variety of child friendly words which we use daily in our office! Other tips and tricks are linked below.
Nitrous/Conscious/IV
Our office provides nitrous, conscious and IV sedation to assist in completing dental procedures. Nitrous and conscious sedations are performed at our office under the care of Dr. Kindell and her assistants. IV sedations are performed by Dr. Kindell and her staff as well as an Anesthesiologist specializing in Pediatric Anesthesia. He brings along a nurse so your child is under the best care at all times!
Finances
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Our staff will work with you to find a treatment plan that fits your budget and schedule. We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, and cash.
Insurance
Very few insurance companies pays 100% of all procedures due to insurance limitations and policies. Patients who carry dental insurance should understand that all dental services completed are directly charged to the patient and that they are personally responsible for payment. Our office will help prepare the patients insurance forms or assist in making collections from insurance companies. However, our office cannot render services assuming that charges will be paid by an insurance company.
