Top Teeth Facts!

Top Teeth Facts!

Our teeth are with us all day and night, but how much do we really know about them? Read on for some super cool facts about your teeth, to help you care for them correctly!

  1. Time to brush!

We all know how important it is to brush our teeth properly twice a day keep cavities at bay. The average American spends a crazy 38.5 days, or 5.5 weeks of their lives brushing their teeth! It may sound a lot, but it is worth it to keep those pearly whites healthy!

  1. Super snails

Snails are tiny, and their mouths are no larger than the head of a pin. Despite this, that have over 25,000 teeth hidden in there! Think of that next time you see one munching on a leaf!

  1. Taking your tooth prints

We all know that we can be identified by our fingerprints, but did you know your tooth prints are also unique? The print of your gnashers will not match anyone else on earth!

  1. Floss, floss, floss!

It may seem tempting to skip out on the flossing after brushing, but this means you miss out on cleaning 40% of your teeth! To make sure your mouth is super clean and healthy, take the extra time to floss morning and night.

  1. Tough teeth!

It may surprise you to discover that your tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body; tougher than even bone! This helps it to cut through and chew your food easily.

  1. Switch from soda

We all like a sweet treat now and then, but the truth is that there are 10-12 teaspoons of sugar in single can of soda. This destroys the enamel of your teeth, and can lead to damage which needs cavities to fix. Choose refreshing, healthy water more often to help keep teeth healthy.

Did you know these fun facts about your teeth? Help to keep your fangs sharp and ready by taking good care of your dental hygiene. Brush and floss regularly to achieve a movie star smile!
